Taylor Swift: a short biography

Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. Raised in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of fourteen to pursue a career in country music. The release of Swift's eponymous debut album in 2006 established her as a country music star. In 2007, she also won the Country Music Association's Horizon Award.

Taylor Swift was born in Reading, Pennsylvania and lives with her parents in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Swift's influences include her grandmother, who was an opera singer, and Leann Rimes. Taylor has been nominated for 218 awards and has won 179 of them since the start of her career in which 7 of them are Grammy awards.
